He complains there is no usb or usb-c charging port in the back seat. They have the socket there you use a charger, you s*$#%^!#@#$!

Doug annoys me like crazy. He does thorough informative videos, so I watch them when the car interests me.

I will admit that I kind of enjoy the silliness of his videos, mostly because he delves into the minutiae that doesn’t get covered in most car reviews. His emphasis on power and acceleration gets rather old, especially when the scale doesn’t seem to adjust for the type of car. There are good reasons why family sedans don’t need to accelerate like sports cars, and the two should not be judged against one another.

Valid complaint. People will readily have charging cables, not cigarette lighter adapters.

I live in a different world than you and Doug. In my world people have a charger or they don’t bother bringing a cable.

I dunno... I stopped watching because half the time, the supposed quirks he points out - especially in vehicles built before about 1990 - are almost never actual quirks. He slaps on the superlatives and guesses very badly about why a specific quirk he’s noticed is there, when oftentimes it was industry standard, or close to it.

He gets his history wrong more often than not. And as excited as he gets about quirks that aren’t really quirks and history that wasn’t actually true, his absurd Doug Scores are judged off the most jaded “cool kid” standard to the point where you’re left wondering why he got excited about the car enough to get it so terribly wrong in the first place.

I enjoy Doug’s videos a lot. Doug himself has a number of quirks and features, and he gets a DougScore of 88/100.
